Locating specific pipes and cables in large
underground networks is becoming increasingly
complex. Ground distortion effects, caused by
differing soil types and proximity to other
conductors , make the operator’s job more difficult
and time-consuming. The most important requirements
for a locator under these circumstances are
ease of use, accuracy and reliability. Radiodetection’s
RD7000 addresses this need with several ground breaking
features that deliver accurate, reliable and
repeatable measurements.

The enthusiasm that goes into the sale of all equipment we sell, continues in the follow up, service, support and most of all the training.
Cable locating and fault finding locating equipment we sell at C&S includes:
- Radiodetection RD 8000.
- Radiodetection RD 7000.
- Riser Bond 1205CXA.
- Riser Bond 3300.
- Riser Bond T625.
- Riser Bond 1270A.
- Mala Ground Penetrating Radar
- Radiodetection RD1000 Ground Penetrating Radar
- Fault Wizard (Primary electric faults)
Shallower utilities such as telephone and cable TV can have a stronger locate signal indicating that it is the target utility. The RD8000 and RD7000 cable locators include a current measurement feature.
Because of the many different types of materials that go into manufacturing each of these different types of underground cable lines, different cable detection and cable location methods must be used. For metal pipes and cables, this is often done with electromagnetic equipment consisting of a transmitter and a receiver. For other types of pipe, such as plastic or concrete, other types of locators or modern ground-penetrating radar must be used.
Cable TV, Telephone, Electrical secondary and primary faults is a tough challenge but we've come a long way in helping technicians through technology and by learning from the past. A need for accurate underground cable location was recognized when the first telephone cables were placed underground in 1883.
C&S Solutions has the locators you need, whether it be for cable, pipelines, water, electric, telephone, gas, or non-metallic pipes.
