transmitter combinations. The SuperC.A.T+ has been developed for high performance location
of multiple utilities. To support the telecoms
market, the High Frequency SuperC.A.TTL detects 131kHz or 65 kHz as high frequency locates
are known to be more effective when buried assets
are well insulated (e.g twisted-pair telecom cables
or insulated pipe joints). Using the SuperC.A.TS with a sonde enables location of pipes such
as cast iron, clay, concrete and plastic
and finally for metallic pipes with a Cathodic
Protection System, the SuperC.A.TCPS is
the receiver of choice.

Combined with its new high performance transmitter
the PCM+ accurately and easily locates
and maps the pipeline for up to 19 miles, providing
simultaneous measurement of PCM Current and Voltage
Gradient, even in areas where there is contact
with other metallic structures, interference,
or congestion. This eliminates the need for the
pipeline technician to perform direct connection
'current spans' and manual calculations to determine
CP currents along the pipeline reducing false
indications and minimizing unnecessary excavations.
Any current leakage fault in the pipeline coating
can be further narrowed down to within 3 feet
by use of the A frame.
